'98 Maxima - Air flow meter?

The air flow meter in my '98 maxima is kaput. A new one is going to cost me the bones of a grand, about half the value of the car, so if anyone knows where I can pick one up second-hand, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Can you let me have full details of CC's and engine code and I might be able to help you with a work around using a standard bosch or pierburg mass-air sensor. I have done a few of these and generally they work without any problem.
