I must say its the best one in the rainbow six series,clever AI for a change,really enjoyed playing it,cant wait for the second game to come out,should be out at the end of march

The one thing I love about it (call me a sadist

) is the realistic bullet wounds that appear on the enemies (single player). Nothing better than hitting a guy at the end of the street with a perfect shot, then getting up close to see you actually caught him straight between the eyes!!!!

I played a little bit of it yesterday and didnt think it was anything special. Admittedly, I only played for about 5 minutes though.

I absolutely hated it :mad: a travesty after the majestic Raven Shield

imo its proof of another game franchise that's been dumbed down & ruined for people who can't handle the slightest bit of strategy

personally i think its arguably the best game on the machine, and the ai is second to none! can't wait for the sequel;)

as a matter of interest how long did ya play it for? it takes a bit of getting used to, maybe a couple of hours gameplay even?

I think its just a fact that people who really immersed themselves in the first few games really hated RSV because it was "dumbed down" to a certain extent. Needless to say, those people truly missed out on an awesome gaming experience.

Okay some people may have fun spending half an hour looking at a map and calculating their strategy before they even fire a shot but not everybody likes that. Ubisoft did what was needed to revive the franchise after the utterly terrible "Lockdown" and they succeeded.

first level doesn't really get going until you get to the hostages and then the vegas levels (indoors) are fab. Decent time between checkpoints provides a challenge too.

I really tried to like it, I played the first few missions about 4-5 hrs approx, I just couldn't get into it, now don't get me wrong the game is okay for what it does but its just not for me.

I just wish they just remade Raven Shield with the nice GFX that were lavished on Vegas but without the arcade feel that Vegas had.

i played all the rainbow series and this is by far the best imo

i found pre-planning a mission a bit annoying tbh...

it didnt matter where you put anyone, it was easy enough to clear the maps, if you have any amount of aim it was easy, or so i found.

but this proved a challenge and i really liked it

No, its a completely seperate storyline from all previous Rainbow Six games.

Although filling up your experience during the single player campaign seems like it'll just "acade-ify" it even more. Though if the combat is as cool as in the first Vegas, it'll be an insta-buy from me.

Have R6V for the pc and bought it on adverts for the 360 for 2p gaming.

Playing thru it on the 360 seems a tad easy, is there some sort of aim help? Not that it takes away from the enjoyment, god knows I've been tempted to **** a controller out the window at certain parts!

Must try it online.

R6v part deux I cannot wait for. Took some ideas from cod4 which is no bad thing so it should rock.

I spent a fierce amount of time on the online game. Played through the single player only to be jipped by the **** ending. great game despite that.

My best game of all time yo! The online gaming is the best on that, for some reason attack and defend in calypso casino is very addictive.

A lot of peeps i know i hate cuz its 2 slow for them when they're running down the corridors.

Another reason why i cant wait for the second one yeyeah!:D u can sprint in it!

Does anyone know if you can melee attack or anything in it?

I assume you're at

the end with Irena at the top of the stairs and yore team hacking the console underneath?

Found a bug in it last night myself when I killed all the guys coming at me but my guy never gave me the all clear to proceed upstairs. Auto fail.

There's no rush up the stairs iirc; you'll get her anyway

The computer is hacked, I blast the guys coming down the stairs and when I'm just at the top (irena has escaped) comes up!
I've done it over and over, wiped everyone out yet I never get to the top of the stairs in time !

Its not out till the 28th of this month!even though I heard a rumour that the pc version has been pushed back by ubisoft to april 14th,along with assasins creed!both the xbox 360 and ps3 versions will be out on 28th though apparently.
