No bother, I'm sure someone can throw one up in your place instead.
by the way whats the legend about?
I'm not 100% sure about it, but when we were kids there was a story that underneath that slab in the Ashbourne graveyard with the skull and crossbones on it, (I don't think there's any other marks or words on the stone, just a carving of a skull) there was some hidden underground tunnels. One of the tunnels was meant to lead off to the graveyard in Donaghmore while others were supposed to lead further off.

My memory about it is sketchy and I'm not sure what was supposed to be the point of them or who made them, or where else it lead to but it's interesting none the less.

    And I'm sure it's nonsense!

An aerial one during that big freeze before xmas. The arrow shaped field at the front of the plane might be a clue.

Not sure where exactly that is, but it looks like a certain ruin/building that you can see towards the east from the top of hill of Tara that I've wondered about!

Do you mean the old bell tower on the hill?
I think it's an old Monastery ruin - you used to be able to climb to the top of it years ago and there's a great view of The Hill of Slane Monastery away to the north.

The one on the hill to the east of Tara is Skryne Church, nice little site to visit. You can access it from the N3.
This is not it though I'm afraid.

I actually only found out about this place in my photo a couple of weeks ago, stumbled across it on a website and went to see it over the weekend.

On "Abondoned Ireland" by any chance? That's one addictive site. Some of the fabulous places that were left to rot would bring a tear to the eye though...

Very true, Duckets Grove in Carlow is a case in point.

I didnt see this one there though, but I cant tell you where I did see it yet, as this is on the homepage so would ruin the game :)
Will share the site when this one is guessed!!

Oops! No, not east! I meant west, I know skryne church in the east well. It's to the west in the distance, you can only really see it with binoculars, but the roof looks the same as the one in your picture.

    Trimblestown castle?

    Bingo! nice one.
I only heard about this place recently. Fairly impressive ruin, but its kind of on someones land so hard to get to. Luckily there were people there so I could get permission.

Not the easiest, but there's a good chance you have driven within a few feet of it many many times!
