Stuttering in HMV

I was in HMV once and asked at the counter as to the whereabouts of a certain artist/cd and the reply from the young girl was:

"Upp....uppp...up...upp......uupp"

I was mortified and jumped in and finished the sentence for her: "Upstairs!"

I couldn't wait to get out of there...how does someone who can't answer get a job in HMV? I can only imagine the reaction of other less polite customers. Who wants to stand and wait a good minute for her to finally splutter the word out?

I wonder if she is still there
