New media centre/casual games machine

So i'm thinking of changing my computer again...was looking into it a few months back but had to put it on the back burner.

So I'm thinking of the following:


CASE:thermaltake LanBox Lite Black 76
PSU:OCZ StealthXStream Powersupply ATX/EPS, 600W 85
MB:ABIT Fatal1ty F-I90HD 85
CPU:Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 232
COOLER: Thermaltake Blue Orb II CPU Cooler 28
RAM: Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 2048MB CL5 55

And perhaps a LG Blu-Ray DVD-burner, GGW-H20 275

I'm just using komplett for the links but tbh I'd probably prefer to buy elsewhere unless it it much more expensive

I already have a xfx 8800gts 320 (dual slot) and a x-fi fatality sounds card and a PVR500mce. I reckon i'll only be able to fit the tv card with he Gfx card.

I need it to be very quiet for tv/movie watching and but also capable of playing the latest games (eg Crysis et al.) better than my present pc (Asus a8r-mvp, skt 939, fx 60) can just about manage.

So does it look ok? can anyone recommend better options etc....?

I would get a better cooler, something like a scythe ninja or a scythe mugen

when i had a lanbox it has about 96mm of room from the base of the psu to the mobo.

skythe ninja should fit fine.

is the blue ray necessary? seems expensive for just watching blue ray dvd's. dvd quality is great as it is. and would only cost you 30 euro for a dvd burner.

id put the pvr500 in and sell the sound card

i'll look at the nija cooler thingie.

Oh i have a dvd burner...and an xbox hddvd drive but quite like the idea of an internal hddvd/BR player.
