    Hello,

Last year I posted a form12 to declare income I recieved under the rent-a-room scheme. (so the income is not taxed but must be declared anyway)

I'm looking at ros.ie now to see if this can be done online, but can't really see how to do this. I can see where you can declare income and I have the following options:

    Benefit in Kind
    Canadian Dividends
    Dividends and Distributions
    Fees and Commissions
    Foreign Pensions
    Other Foreign Income
    Sch E Non-PAYE Income
    UK Dividends
Untaxed Income Arising in the State
    Maintenance Payments Received
    US Dividends

None of these seem to be what I'm looking for. Has anyone managed to do this? Is it possible?

    Thanks for your help!

    I presume this.

    Does it give sub-options?

You need to pay income tax I think. Ring the Revenue and they will tell you.

This is incorrect. Income received that is under the threshold is earned tax free. I haven't used ROS online in a personal capacity to declare this income but in a professional capacity I come accross it a lot. Generally we just file a Return to declare it. Try ringing the PAYE helpline and ask them 1850 333 425

    The sub-options for this are:
    Income from Government Stock
    Income from Exchequer Bills
    Income from Credit Union Dividends
Income from Other Loans / Investments

So none of them seem right either.

I'll try ringing the PAYE helpline as SetantaL suggested. But it looks like it cant be done - that's a pity.

    Thanks

This is where you would put a normal rental property.
