    hi all,

About a year and a half ago I registered a company name with a "friend" of mine.
We set out by asking a solicitor to create the company which he did making us both directors and myself the secetary.
since this was done we have fallen out and I have no contact details for my friend I have tax returns over due and I sent a letter to the CRO requesting that they take the company off the register. The person I got the reply from sent me a list of things to do and I havent the slightest idea where to start.
I'm an IT engineer I know nothing about this stuff.

I know I have to file a tax return saying that the company never traded. How do I do this? I am willing to meet and pay someone to bail me out of this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

There are a number of requirements before the CRO will strike a limited company from the register, firstly all CRO and Revenue filings must be up to date, for the strike off itself a statement that the company has no assets and liabilities, statement that it has ceased to trade or has never traded, revenue clearance and you need to draft an advertisement to be put in a newspaper circulated in the locality of the company's registered office. All of these things need to be done in a particular sequence and within particular timings. Be careful of firms in Dublin esp as i know that the standard charge for drafting this kind of documentation can be ridiculous. I am a company secretary working in professional practice, i would be willing to give you some advice on a presonal basis if you are interest.
