Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi all,
we have a windows 2003 enterprise edition server which was just rebuilt on the weekend. so as to save time in the future, we were thinking if we could do a full os backup of the c: partition and the OS can be restored at any time.

from previous experience, i have used a dual boot scenario and then backed up the inactive partition using xcopy. but we don't have a dual boot(2 os's on the system). i haven't used ghost in years either. is it an fininky as it used to be?
also i have used Acronis True image home edition. would this work for windows 2003 like it does with win xp? id say you would have to get a different license!

    any ideas would be great.

There's DriveImage XML and Partimage. I can't see why Acronis would have any problem. I've used for xp and it's been smooth. Dunno about ghost, only used older versions.

we only have the 1 server so i can't see the company splashing that much cash for just one machine.
have looked at Partimage today and created the system rescue cd so will do a backup with that tomorrow. its also a chance to reuse some unix skills!
