Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Texting the USA

    I have a friend in the states, and I'd like to be able to send him the odd text.

    I'm on Meteor, non-bill.

    His number is a has a 310 prefix...followed by 7 digits.

    How much, does anyone know, is it to text, either way? And do I need any international codes or will the number work as it is?

    you'll have to put 001 or +1 (the american dialling code) before the number and drop any leading zeros. for example, the irish code is 353 so 0861234567 would become +353861234567 in international format

    a good idea would be to get your friend to text you and then just save the number if you're having problems

    meteor international texts cost 15c. if you'll be doing it a lot you might want to look into AFT. its a bit of hassle but would get the texts down to 2c each.
