RAG Week 2008!!!

With RAG week taking place this year from February 25th - 29th it's time we got down to business. This year's charity is Pieta House.Pieta House, the Centre for the Prevention of Self-Harm or Suicide, opened its doors in January 2006 and is the first charity of its kind in Ireland. Pieta House offers a specialised treatment programme for people who have suicidal ideation or who participate in self-harming behaviours. In particular, this centre will target the people who have already attempted to take their lives the forgotten people. This service is free of charge, but donations are welcome. The specialized treatment programme offers a comprehensive service aimed at individuals and their families who are affected by:
* Multiple suicidal attempts
* Suicidal ideation
* Continuous self-harming behaviours
So here's the information I have, the mods can feel free to amend this any time they get more information

Monday, February 25th (€3 Drinks in the SU)
Daytime -- Carnival outside the SU
- Hypnotist in The Venue in the afternoon
Nighttime -- Doors Open at 8pm & Tickets are €12
- Silent/Headphone Disco in the SU Bar Foyer
- Cathy Davey in The Venue
Tuesday, February 26th (€3 Drinks in the SU)
Daytime -- Wii Sports Tournament in The Venue
- Annual Mizzoni's Wagon Wheel Challenge (Pizza ftw apparently
)
Nighttime -- Doors Open at 8pm & Tickets are €10
- B*Witched in The Venue - everybody remembers them, it should be cringetastic
- SASH! LIVE! - German DJ/Producer Team from the 90's who recently stared touring again. Simply put - Be there!
Wednesday, February 27th
Daytime -- Dirty Sanchez in The Venue in the afternoon - not for the faint hearted!
Nighttime -- Doors Open at 8pm & Tickets are €15
- Alabama 3 - British band famous for their song "Woke Up this Morning" which was the theme to The Sopranos. Not their only hit and they're well worth a visit!
Thursday, February 28th
Daytime -- Bungee Jumping at the Playing Fields across from the River Apartments on campus
- Live comedy in the Venue by Michael Winslow (Jones from Police Academy, the guy who makes the whoooosh noises
) - Check him out on YouTube
Nighttime -- Doors Open at 8pm & Entry is Free
- Blues Brothers Band in The Venue
- Donations will be collected throughout the night for Pieta House
So what are you going to? Does anybody want to come see SASH! with me? Or Alabama 3? I have no friends:p No, seriously though, head to as many events as ya can, even the free ones throughout the day and be sure to donate to the charity. 0
