Tesco in Letterkenny told me they are selling it at 2... but i think its a mistake as I know others are selling at 12!

Thats a bit strange, I was on the phone to them earlier and I was told they were working on a first come first served basis. Also was told they had upwards of 400 copies over both format, so unless there's a queue of over 400 people outside already and they've given out tickets, I find that hard to believe...

My paranoia level is up to 11 now. Who's telling the truth? Pre-orders or no preorders in HMV grafton st? Bed soon and be fresh for an all day session tomorrow or go to midnight release and maybe not get a copy? AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!! Just gimme the damn game!

This reminds me of when GTA SA came out. I had a xbox at the time. I survived the friday but by the saturday i had gave in to the hype from friends on a different forum. Rang my sister who was in town and told her to buy me a ps2 slim with GTA:SA.

There was no problem in getting that game and there was as much prebook hype for that as GTA4. I think Vice City was a different story as retailers who didn't specialise in games didn't realise how much a demand there was.

Btw, I have to wait till my copy arrives from Canada as i tried to trick myself into believing i wouldn't be queuing up outside GAME first thing. ARGH!! I want to give into the hype

Can ne 1 confirm whether HMV grafton are taking pre orders. Cause i've heard they are and they aren't.

You just rang them recently didn't you?

I spoke to someone there at about quarter to four today and was told what I posted in here. I actually got the guy to confirm to me they were first come first served and he said yes.

have been in the store twice tonight and called up my mate who is a manager also was told they had only received ten copies and a fair few people are heading up at 2 judging by the phonecalls.

Just rang HMV Grafton street, they did take some pre orders apparently but will also be selling any extra stock to those that didnt pre order on a first come first serve basis at 12 tonight

Bit strange alright though. It annoys me when you ring a place one minute and they tell you something, then five minutes later someone else in the same place tells you something different.

HMV have always been first come first served as far as I know though, so your best bet without a pre-order is with them tonight.

Just heard from Gamesnash about the late pre-orders ie. the second batch. here is the email they sent:

There is a second wave of stock due into us on Friday. There is an outside chance we will get it on Thursday - we will be dispatching the day it arrives. If Thursday An Post may get it to you on Friday. If we dispatch Friday I would say it will be Tuesday before it arrives as An Post do not work the bank hol weekend.

I doubt it. Tesco in wilton and mahon point are your best bet.

OK, I ordered 2 copies of GTA4 from gamesnash with both express post. I was given 2 tracking numbers. None of these work!

Does anyone have a tracking number that doesn't work with these guys?

SNL ballybrack seems to hit and miss cos ive called it up a few tiems today 1 dope bird says on sale at either 1 or 2 she doenst bleedin' no, a lad said its on sale at 12 and they hav plently more dan 10 copies, and another girl said its on sale at 2 wit only 10 copies which is ridcilpus for a tesco... what have they said to you? im heading up anyway my only chance.. hopefully the locals arent out in the brack

my mate is a manager who was keeping me a copy we planned on heading up at half 11 i called him at half 7 he said " we got a memo earlier not to sell til two and they only got around then and staff are keeping 5"

Now that said he was off today and was goin on what a manager told him so i went in around 8 to ask a mate who is on customer service all he said was "yeah man phone wont stop and it aint goin on sale til 2 anyways".

Go if ya wish i am only goin on what i have been told
