how to setup to be self employed with LTD company?

My gf untill now has been employed by companies. But her new job is a contracting job, so she has to set up her own company and register for vat etc. What exactly are the steps involved and the costs with each. She will only have one customer as such. Is it recommend to get an account or can it be done by herself. Any help…

Companies office in parnell square or go online - full details given

Better off looking at sole trader (or self assement) also - consider tax aspect than just looking at one option
