It's hardly that big of an event that people would remember where they were.

Or are you trying to check if everyone has an alibi?

I don't rememember, but I remember where I was when news broke that the general had been shot. I was in the car, on my way to Carlow. Its a harrowing event, any child would remember it. Carlow, that is.

Ironically enough, I was around the spot where Guerin was shot when I heard that Cahill had been shot.

I'm guessing I was in school. June 1996 wasn't it? Yeah, school. Unless it was a weekend in which case I was probably playing tennis.

Kinda, like she is just a character in a fictional film. :D

Bloody hell, you must have been fairly traumatised if it had such a lasting
and memorable impact on you as a three year old.

That "hit on the head" must have given him special powers.

He could be leading a Quantum Leap kind of life. Should we tell him that he never makes it home? :(

I had passed the spot about 10 minutes before it happened.

Am very very very glad about that 10 minutes, wouldnt like that kinda sh*t in my memory banks thank you very much.

Maybe the trauma of reading crime reports in the Sindo as a 3-year-old has led poor harryharry to the point where he is addicted to cigarettes after one smoke 12 years later.

In fairness to the OP, in the film that was made in 2003, the narrator says at the end:
"Everyone in the Republic of Ireland remembers where they were when they heard that Veronica Guerin had been murdered on the Naas Road"

I don't and i was someone in ireland at the time. Should i sue the film company for misleading others?

Just think if you were 'servicing' harryharry's ma for the preceding 3 years
he could be the fruit of your loins. If ever their was a case for contraception... ;)

I don't remember either. I guess the movie makers were trying to make it grander than it is.

Same here, well I knew she was a journalist from the news, but paid no particular attention at the time.

Yes, I think in an attempt to make people in the US think she was famous, like some sort of crusader or something.
