Lots of talk about gear and techniques but I have to say I haven't seen much posting about the actual music made by peeps here.

So consider this a gauntlet thrown down - lets hear your music

ogysmusic is mostly electronic stuff
ogyandneil is guitar indie pop type stuff

I'm only just gettin into music recording lately after just finishing college last summer and only havin enuf money to be the equipment lately, so only music I have is composed on sibelius

just got a remix out as of yesterday. it's on beatport now and all the rest (itunes etc.) i think next week.
kind of heavy electro house remix.

go to beatport.com and search kid handsome. you'll find it. because of the way that site works i can't link directly.

have my own stuff coming out on 12" and mp3 in about a months time. think you'll only be able to get the vinyl in the states (the label are American).

my old stuff is on my sig. and my old, old rock music is somewhere on myspace.

ogy, just listening to your ogysmusic music page - apart from sounding rather low-bit (my space streaming restrictions?) I liked Albert Jo and esp E.

Now onto ogyandneil, Dogs Know is pretty tasty the rest not bad though I reckon the vocals need more 'something' - power, edge.

trackmixstudio - Michael your engineering certainly sounds good! Presence and clarity.

cheers mike, yeh i think i'll blame myspace about the sound quality:) bit of info for ya: alberto joe was made out of processed piano sounds only.

i did the ogyandneil stuff about 3 years ago before i knew anything about recording/mixing, just to get the songs down really. vocals recorded with an sm58. don't think i panned anything or used reverb or anything, didn't even move the faders much, hadn't a clue:) plan on rerecording most of the tunes in the future when i get a band together!

All recorded on my laptop, guitars, bass and some harmonica processed with V-Amp2, beats made in Fruity Loops, and a mini tube preamp used on vocals and the harmonica.

I'm a long-time guitarist, but new to this music production stuff, so go easy on me!

I've really been concentrating on writing more than recording for probably about 6 months now. Just remixing a tune at the moment I recorded last summer that Paul White mixed for a sound on sound article.

Perfect Day, now play in the kitchen it to your mum and watch her sing along.

Also a lurker, recently updated my software to a program called Reaper (http://www.cockos.com/reaper/) so I'm gonna start using vistual instruments now, and so far it's made a hell of a difference. Didn't know what I was missing out on. Here's some tunes I made using the old MIDI software...
