Thanks so much digs, dreamstar and yellow hen for the words of wisdom, I really appreciate it.

I guess I was just a little freaked because I wasn't really expecting to be told anything at all yesterday as in I thought I'd get all the results together at our appointment with the consultant and it was kind of half information, like it might or not be one kind of cyst. I hope I'm making sense here, probably not!

dreamstar - do you mind me asking what kind of cyst you have? How did they diagnose what kind?

Hope everyone has some nice plans for the Easter Holiday weekend! I'm mainly excited about the extra sleep and lie-ins for the few days :D

You totally make sense. It's hard when they tell you something you don't expect. And when you ask they don't really tell you anything exept wait for the consultant.
Mine is a simple Corpus luteum cyst. My doctor 'found' it during a smear test / pelvic exam and sent me for a scan. At the time they said it was nothing to worry about and I used to go back for a scan every 6 months and then see the consultant. It was when it got to 8cm they suggested surgery to drain it. Unfortunately for me - it kept coming back. So at my last appointment before Christmas they said they would leave me and said I should go back after a pregnancy.
Apparently a lot of the time they don't come back after pregnancy then.
I have never had any pain from the cyst and so have never had any issues with it.

Thanks a mill for the info dreamstar!
She said mine could be a chocolate cyst (endometrial) or a hemorrhagic cyst (which might just go away all by itself). Doctor Google has me a bit worried about the first type so I think I'm going try sit on my hands and wait for the consultants appointment for more info :)

I've had both and honestly they're no big deal once they're monitored. I had two hemorrhagic cysts and had them cut out by keyhole surgery. In feb i had an endo cyst drained. It should have been removed but it had attached itself to my ovary like a limpet and they was too much risk of losing an ovary so they opted to drain it. For what it's worth after almost 18 months of trying, I got pregnant within 6 months after first surgery :)

Thanks a mill yellow_heh, great to know that you were successful. Do you mind me asking how they knew which type of cysts they were?

Gah sorry dreamstar, with the weekend that's in it it'd be rude not to eat your bodyweight in chocolate as a consolation...

Got a high on the fertility monitor the last two days, got FAR too excited by this. Will have hubby worn out by the time I actually get a peak this month the way I'm going!

Hope everyone has a lovely easter weekend, I am having dinner handed to me and staying over in my Aunts so not driving home = winetime. Sure we may aswell enjoy it, this time next year sure we'll all be sleep deprived with newborns :D:D

They didn't until surgery and that was keyhole with quick recovery.

Sorry to hear you were out dreamstar. Like you said, at least you didn't have the head wreck of it coming late.

Digs, hope you enjoyed the winetime! I sure did this weekend! :D

Thanks yellow_hen for info, really glad to hear it's a quick recovery process.

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend! I started using clearblue ovulation sticks for the first time yesterday. Quite excited to see the LH line get darker day by day now hopefully. Feeling quite positive now this month, think the easter break did me some good :)

    Loving the optimistic vibes! :)
The sunshine yesterday definitely helped me feel better. I was so upset when I got me period on Saturday. :( My poor hubby didn't know what to say to make me feel better. It's almost a year since I got pregnant last time - it's been tough because I never would have thought it would take this long to conceive after the miscarriage. Just have to keep thinking that everything happens for a reason I guess.
There's always a day where things are tough and it hits you I think. But am definitely going to be optimistic about this month! :)

I'm out. My arch nemesis arrived overnight. To be honest, I wasn't surprised so trying not to be too disappointed. Onwards and upwards!
I think the sun coming out to play has alot to do with my upbeat mood this month!

    Hi All,

Does anyone have experience, or heard of using tomaxfin and orgalutran? First cycle to try this combo and am very worried/stressed with this new plan. My research says orgalutran is used when foliciles growing (day 6 on) but I started injections on day 1 to day 5?? Taking tomaxfin on day 2 - 6. Pregnyl and cyclogest to follow. This is my last option before IVF, tried every other treatment. Anyone followed a similar treatment?

Mine was TSI with Clomid and Pregnyl, if that is any help? My clomid days also differed from what was normally prescribed and when I asked it was something to do with my cycle length. So I do know that the day you start a particular drug can be individually tailored to the patient, so I'd go with your prescribed course rather than internet based information, If you want to put your mind at ease (and I think that is pretty important when TTC) then ring up your specialist who prescribed it and ask them why? I'm pretty sure they wont mind. :)

So I decided to try using Preseed this month - just to try something different. Went to two chemists and was mortified when they didn't know what it was and I had to explain!
Anyway I have ordered online from inhealth.ie and am getting it delivered to my work address. I usually open the post in work so it's grand. But I see the order will be delivered by courier and now I'm worried it will say what it is on the envelope.
Anyone ever ordered from them before?? Would you know what the item is from the packaging?

I can't say for sure, but I would doubt that they would send out a package letting everyone know you ordered sperm food :p
At least, I would hope not!

I've ordered it from another online retailer and it was plain packaging with a p/o return address on it. I'd imagine any retailer of OTC pharma products would do it as standard or they'd get sod all repeat business.

Here's hoping Neyite. I'll stay close to the door in work tomorrow just in case. :D

You never know. It might be delivered by a Barber-Shop Quartet singing "Every Sperm is Sacred" from Monty Python. While you nipped to the loo, as is usually the way with deliveries if my local postie is anything to go by!

Haha, fair play to you for asking in the chemists - I went to ask in McCabe's because they're listed as a stockist but bottled it last minute! I'm a crap grown-up hehe. I've only seen preseed there the once so we order it from inhealth.ie and it comes in a perfectly plain brown envelope; you wouldn't have a clue what's in there I promise!

It was soooo embarassing. Some young fella asked what I was looking for and he tried showing me all the different lubes they had and I was like no it's a special one for conceiving. I don't know who was more embarassed me or him. :D

    Thanks MeganMay that's such a relief! :p

Ah brilliant, I'd say he learned something new alright! I'd definitely never heard of it before TTC anyways!

On day 13 of my cycle now and my third day of using the ovulation sticks. If anything the lh line is getting lighter?! This is my first cycle using them so I'm just getting used to it all and trying to hold my pee for four hours is a nightmare! I must have a teeny bladder.

I found those ovulation sticks really hard to use. I couldn't tell anything from those pink lines - I was nearly going cross-eyed. I also didn't like the whole holding the pee in the afternoon thing. I'd be driving home DYING for a wee and afraid I'd get stuck in traffic! :D
I ended up getting the clearblue digital ones. They say on the pack you can use first morning urine and I always have and always get my smiley face.

This did confuse me as online the advice is that you should test later in the day. I have brought the tests in to work sometimes and just tested around 11. That also worked fine for me.

    What brand are you using?

I ordered 20 clearblue digital ovulation sticks with testing kit off ebay in the hopes last week but they didn't arrive in time for testing so I bought some of the regular (as in non-digital) Clearblue ovulation sticks in the chemist at the weekend. The others still haven't arrived yet, so annoying, but should have them in time for next month. Hoping I won't need them though obviously! Good to know they're easier to use, I'm raging they didn't arrive in time for this cycle.
