How much my Passat WORTH?

    Hey all,

    I am a new comer here and would like to have some suggestions from your guys hereicon7.gif.

    My Car is a 2001 VW Passat
    Met-Silver. 1.6 petrol. Manual. 59K miles. FSH. 3 owner before me. The car is in a excellet Cont. E/M, E/W, FSH, 6 Disc Changer, 4 a/bs, ABS, Alloys etc. 2 sets of keys.
    Road tax till 05-08.
    NCT due to 05-09

    I had a big service done for this car from a garage near where i work last Augest which including the new Timing belt, new water pump, New ignition coil Etc etc.

    icon2.gifThe Question is, How much it will worth if I want to sell it privately and If I do trade this car into a garage. How much they should quote on me?

    Its a petrol 1.6 manaul.

    It basically means according to the vrt inquiry system your cars open market selling price is €4957.

    Ignore the bit about VRT. In theory that would be included in the OMSP.

    VRT seems to be undervaluing the market price a bit, but is probably on the upper end of what a dealer will give on a trade-in +/- a few hundred. Depending on the value of the car you are buying, how badly he wants to move it, how he presents a discount on the windscreen price of he one you are buying and the value of your own....
    But in the end you wont really get more than 5k.

    I reckon it will fetch around €6k in a private sale. The low mileage and FSH will help.

    It says petrol in descrption but looks like TDI in photos!

    OP says 3 owners before him, but 4 owner is something undervalues car. I would never buy car as fifth owner.
