    Do you concede many?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20 Red-Devil

No not too many. A usual score for me is 3-1. I beat Barcelona 6-2 which shows how the persuasive attacking trio of David Villa, V Nistlerooy, Benzema or Raul pays off. Ive won 11 on the trot now (season games), havent drawn or lost any it seems to be working. I would not advise using that 3-4-1-2 formation with many teams because it really only works with teams with lots of talent. I think that the progressive attacking structure is the reason why teams dont get a chance to attack my 3 man defence.

I conceded 11 goals in the league with Barce in the most recent season.

    Valdes

    Alves----M Richards----Millito
    Bale

    Lucas
    Fabregas----Xavi

    Ronaldinho
    Silva or Messi---

    Etoo or Bojan

    Rotation: Puyol/Chalme/Taye Taiwo/Breno
    Zapater/Toure/DosSantos---Vela/N'Gog.
    84 games unbeaten, no reloads.

I'm deciding what new game to start at the minute. I think I'll go for something more challenging than Real or Barca..............

French league is good, I've got a second game running as Marseille, the league isn't too difficult but competing in Europe is tough. Biggest problem is holding on to your star players.

I started off with a very challenging side.. Celta Vigo. After a while I got a good feel of the team and with difficulty got them promoted. Its always fun playing with a lower division team and bringing them up. :)

    Celtic, 3rd Season:

    Boruc
    Wilson---Breno----Kennedy--Santococcino (youth,sp?)
    Kaboul

    Brown
    Nakamura
    -Adu
    Duff--
    Vennegor of Hesselink

Devestating team. Have a good crop of youngsters on the bench and coming through the ranks too, e.g. Evander Sno, Jack Hobbs etc. I want to think about bolstering my striking options but am finding it very difficult to attract a big name star to the club. E.g. Walcott keeps rejecting his Arsenal contract renewal but not a hope of him accepting a bumper contract from me!!!

I tinkered a bit with my db before starting with York [ie. I added myself into their CM] :p

Ha>< I know but I wanted a bit of craic before I started a season for serious.

Berbatov is on fire, despite a 2 month layoff. 14 goals in 11 games. Kaboul has 7 goals after I perfected the art of scoring corners while fiddling about it with my tactics. Lescott, Woodgate and Hutton have a lot of goals because of this. Bale is top of the assists chart with 9 assists.

My Celtic team has graduated a bit after making some sales, e.g. McGeady - Liverpool for £9m.

    Boruc

    Kennedy--Kaboul---Hobbs---
    Gelson Fernandes

    Scott Brown---Banega
    --Giles Barnes
    Adu/Duff--
    Vennegor----Lita

Not actually working that well for me so might revert to four at the back and one up front. I'm not happy with my central midfield and am looking for a top class attacking midfielder for the Scott Brown position to score goals and someone in the Iniesta/Fabregas mould for the other position to create. Any (realistic) suggestions?

Midway through my first season with Basel in Switzerland. 14 points clear after 18 games going into the winter break, thanks to unlimited loan signings from French sides. Recalled a striker worth 600k from loan and sold him on during the winter break for €7.25 which should allow me strengthen about two or three positions. I've signed Luizao, the young Brazilian centre-back and have a few more coming in the summer. I've also invested heavily in some quality 16/17 year olds for the future.

Into the third season with Man Utd. Won quadruple in first season and the league in the second.

    Foster

    ---Vanden Borre
    Ferdinand
    Vidic
    Evra

    ---Benzema
    Carrick
    Anderson
    Ronaldo

    Rooney
    Kardec

Subs:Van Der Sar, Pique, J Evans, Nani, Hargreaves, Benega, Tevez.

Kardec was an absolute bargain at £5.5 million. Only in Decemeber and he already has 19 goals in the league. First season he was named best signing.

After 6 seasons of building a footballing dynasty at Boro I left to make Real a force in football again. But they should've been already, they had a class team. But in my third season in 2015 looks like this:

    Casillas

    Ramos---Barzagli
    Longhi(Regen)---Corvino(Regen)

    Gago
    Maslov(Regen)

    C.Ronaldo
    Rossi
    Robinho

    Bojan

Subs: Buenida(Regen I think), Cahais, Garay, Mauri(Regen), Benega, Raul, Guillherme

Best part is Atletico and Villareal went into administration so Rossi and Benega were free, as was Bojan but that was just cos Barca were blind to his devinity! Maslov cost £27m, Longhi £35m, Corvino £5.5m, Mauri £32m

in the 3 games i've played, Bojan has always been up for a free at some stage. it's a bit weird. unfortunately he would never come to my teams though.

Ive just started my first game and am having serious trouble signing players. Whats the best way to go about it ? Also, how do I see transfer listed players and free players ?

    I'm playing as Liverpool.

good scouts are a must. 18 plus in judging player potential and player ability. send them all over the place and just scout anyone and everyone.

to see transfer listed by going into Squad, then on the left there will be a tree. Click search, player search, then up on the top right hand corner somewhere there will be the "filters" button. click it and go into customise, then just add he filters you want. you can do the same for scouting staff etc. for liverpool though it's unlikely you'll find anyone up to the standards needed through transfers lists and free players.

Well Bojan would be a welcome addition..!

I blew all my transfer funds on Quaresma and Rafinha. It was almost at transfer deadline and I hadnt managed to buy anyone so splashed 25m on quaresma, 15m upfront and 10 over 2 years.

Which club were you managing? In my experience, generally managing Manchester United, Barca players are nigh on impossible to sign. Often the offers are accepted but the players have no intention of joining - how odd.
