Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great performance from Bristol Rovers. Knuckled down and wanted it more on a terrible, terrible playing surface which didn't suit the more technically gifted championship side.

    Wolves
    Chelsea
    West Brom
    Liverpool
    Arsenal
    Portsmouth
    Sheff Utd.

    nice pics ;)

Here is the question. It's looking like if we are to win the FA cup, we have to beat Chelsea at some stage. Would drawing them at home next round be the best option since the semi final and final are at neutral venues?

As long as we avoid Barnsley, Ill be happy.

Liverpool get what they deserve for not playing the best 11 available ot them. Taking off Babel who was getting in behind Barnsley and creating something was truely a Benitez special.

Anybody see the lads on SOccerSaturday when Barnsley scored? Classic TV! They were actually celebrating, Thompson was sooo pissed off :D

Great to see only 2 of the 'top 4' reamaing.
I know that baring Chelsea and Utd being drawn together they are most likley to meet each other in the final
Hopefully they will get drawn against each other cos the FA cup final needs a team from outside the 'top 4' in it, so that they have something to play for. Unlike being subject to the same s**t we saw in '07 and '05.

no he wont, sure the amazing rafa will still pull the champions league out of the bag, and watch out for a late surge up the premiership to pip arsenal and united to the title

    Selective memory alert!

Cast your mind back to 03: Arsenal V Southampton- Shit Final
Cast it back again now to 04: Man Utd V Millwall: Shit Final

Both finals had a team from outside the 'top 4' in it yet both finals were pants.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,658 ✭✭✭✭Peyton Manning

The Arsenal/Man United final in 05 was a quality game anyway. United - Chelsea games never are though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,346 ✭✭✭✭KdjaCL

tbh i can only rememeber 1 good final pool wham at some stage in the it looked like either could win it.

Dont think i can recall a final where both teams were in it past the hour.

Just thinking, there were no replays in the last round and it's looking like there may be none again this round...the BBC will be well pissed off because they don't get to show much live football ,so must pray for replays:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,857 ✭✭✭✭Dave!

bloody hell..... was thinking that a replay would be tragic for Liverpool. TBH hadn't even considered Barnsley would get a sneaky one in at the end! Barnsley's keeper had an absolute stormer, and probably won it for them if you ask me.

As for Unireh..... fantastic result. Great play too. Poor defending outa Arsenal though.

I would not expect a Championship team to compete with Utd in the final.

I recall the southampton as being quiet ok actually.
