I was up til recently fixed on getting an XFX 780i board.. but im now im wavering backing to the asus version, reason being I think it would have better cooling even if I stuck some 40mm fans onto the heatsinks? Also reading reviews it seems to be able to overclock a bit better than the xfx.

Looks wise I much prefer the XFX but its not about the looks its about the performance. :)

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=344292 XFX board

    What do you guys think?

btw ive no internet at home... im moving house so I wont be replying after 8 tonight.

Go with the asis board, the cooling is much better then the stock nvidia design that xfx use.

the fancy (looking asus cooling is pritty rubish) my maximuss has nearly the same heatpipe design and it went over 55c load with a fan straped to it and thats with as5 on it,just because it looks nice dosent mean it good,.also 780i chipset is very hot !

Its the price you pay when you want SLI I suppose.

Theres only one ASUS left on komplett.ie and I wont have the money until about tuesday! Ones on komplett are 295 and and OCUK there like 330.

Hopefully I get it off komplett.. I dont want to start any dremeling until I have it.
