    Hi,
I have a rubber grip material covering a wooden floor in the back of my van. Some bits of the rubber have been torn and there are small lumps in the floor where the wood has swollen, maybe due to getting wet or something, not too sure. One of the lumps has broken off as well as there being some tears in the rubber grip leaving the wood exposed. I just have it taped over at the moment, but the tape tears and peels off easy enough.

Just wondering is there any hard setting type rubber paste I could use to get a good seal and cover up the torn parts or any other suggestions as to how to patch it up?

    Any feedback appreciated :)

    Edit:
Here are some pictures to explain better:

And also, has anyone any idea where I could get some similar material to this:

to stick on the walls of my van to protect the metal from bumps and the likes?

Regards the floor, I might recommend "Tiger Seal Adhesive". Once you open tube, use it all, as it oxidises fairly quick. Can be gotten from auto shops.

Looking at panelling, go for thin ply all over or get a rubber fabric and glue on with tiger adhesive?

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply :) What kind of texture and feel does Tiger Seal leave once dried? Will I be able to spread it over the tears easily do you reckon? Any idea of cost?
