Anyone see Nouvelle Vague last week in Roisin Dubh?

    I wasn't lucky enough to get tickets to see them in The Roisin Dubh last Tuesday, my favourite band, theyre from Paris and they ROCK!!!!! They do covers of alot of 70's punk songs like "Dancing With Myself", "Heart of Glass", "Teenage Kicks" and "I just can't get enough" LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!

    What were they like???????? Im raging I missed it!

    Would've liked to see them as well. Wanted to see them at the Electric Picnic last year, but managed to veg that out as well:(
    I'd say my fave would have to be their cover of dance with me (lords of the new church)

    That IS my favourite, awwwww dayum I love them!!!!!! I copied that video up above ^ video is from an old movie, its not Audrey Hepburn, but looks like her.

    Didnt think there were many male NV fans, I know thats generalising, sorry...

    Not too sure if there are many tbh. I've always had a bit of an odd taste in music, so chilled out covers of new wave stuff just seem to have a strange appeal to me...

    Awwwww thats good to hear, thank god!!! hopefully they'll play in Dublin in the Summer cause I'll be gone from here....
    Did they sing Teenage Kicks and Dance with me?

    Tbh, I say they have a lot of male fans, they sang both those tracks, and their rousing version of Love Will Tear Us Apart...fabulous..Set was packed, and I really enjoyed it, such a pity you missed it!!

    that was the 3rd time i got to see them(once in the village, Dublin, once in an outdoor festival in France) and i have to admit the Roisin is a great venue for them. Really intimate. The fact that they have a double bass now and that new amazingly theatrical singer really added to that intimacy and almost palpable sensuality.
