Engine ticking noise

There is a ticking noise comming from the pasengers side of my engine compartment and is quite loud & annoying, I'm thinking its something to do with the valves cause its coming from the head (Boxer engine) Is a valve job big? what sort of money are you talking?

it could be the idlers on the timing belt goin, i had to change mine on my wrx they were very loud sometimes
