clothes made from certain fabrics e.g. denim are not suitable for hill walking or mountain climbing. carry out an investigation to compare the thermal insulating properties of 3 different fabrics (wool,cotton and denim) when they are dry and when they are wet. denim must be one of them but try to use the 3 i suggested. Iirc what you do is get three containers of water, heat the water to X degrees C, then you use the three different fabrics as insulation around the containers and see which one loses heat the fastest.
