long sata cables? about 3 x the length

    ive got a lot of harddrives that i need to connect to my pc.

    however ive got no room inside my case for them.

    ive got 4 x 500gb drives and 3 x 1tb drives and 5 x 400gb drives.

    what i want to do is build a harddrive chest with a few fans on each side for airflow and cooling..

    however!! i cant connect them to the pc.... they are all s-ata connections.

    can you get extra long sata cables? im putting an independant power supply in there to power them and the fans but i still need to connect them to the pc.

    any help at all? my mb has 8 sata ports i think. so im buying 2 x 4 port sata cards for the pci slots.

    i just need the cables if they exist?

    Maybe you need something like this , or at least there may be some ideas on the page for you ,

    You can connect multiple drives to just one port with these ,they are cheap enough too , it would save on loading up your PC with sata cards.

    WHy not build a cheap home server? And stick all the hdds in that.
