Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wind Direction in Swords on Friday Evening

    Weather folk:

    I was wondering if you could help me. I read through these two threads (here & here) about "lights" seen over Swords on Friday evening & subsequently spoke with one of the boardsies who witnessed it.

    He mentioned the possibility that they may have been "chinese lanterns". I was thinking that they could have been released by someone down in the Malahide direction. So I was wondering if any of you could tell me what direction the wind was over Swords on Friday/Saturday between 10pm & 1am.

    At nearby Dublin airport it was East,then south east,then south and south west or variable so all over the place really.

    You can check the half hourly wind directions by scrolling down this page
    Thats for up to 1130pm on the 15th.
    If you want the midnight and after directions just change the history date to the 16th and submit.
