    Hi all

Thinking of picking up a Canon HG10 in the states next month. My concern is that the movies created wont be as editable as standard def. Would anyone have any advice on the following?

1/ NTSC or PAL - I presume PAL but in reality does it matter?
2/ It comes with Corel editing software - anyone have any experience of this?
3/ Playback - Can I plug it directly to (a) HD tv and (b) standard tv to watch
4/ Burning - Can I burn the movies onto a standard DVD and will these be compatable with a regular DVD player or just eg PS3?

I believe the format that is created is AVCHD which creates a .mts file. I would be somewhat comforted even if I could convert this .mts file to another more recognised formate eg mpeg2, mpeg4 etc

    Cheers
