Hello! I'm a fan of The Mighty Boosh. Vince is class!

I actually saw Eels ages ago on youtube but didn't have much interest in it. Then, once my friend brought over some DVDs to watch and had my first showing of "The Mighty Boosh". I couldn't put my finger on it, but the two lads seemed very familiar. She said I would love the weird humour and she was right! (Couldn't decipher between the regular looks and the "New Rave" looks.

Cue hours of Mighty Boosh screenings, (Series 1, 2 and 3) along with getting drunk! We soon got some more friends into it. :D (This happened suring Oct/November)

I only have Series 3 on DVD which is kind of a let down. I actually forget everything about Series 1 and 2 apart from the settings! (zoo and Naboo's apartment, I believe). So, I'm currently texting my friend asking for a loan of the DVDs.

She loves the Moon and Naboo, while I think Vince is hilarious.

    class..

and just to make a point , I do some video/tv work , and there is huge load of work to do a scene like this one, even for 1 minute. The scene in this clip could take a full "squad" of people a week to do.

they may have shot it in one day, but if you include all the planning and editing and the graphics work.. for 1 min of telly.. ,

    class

    go on the boosh

Coming to the Boosh was fast and crazy for me, one quite day about a month ago Im watching TV and thinking "What the Fu*k is this maddness" now im at home with both 1st and 2nd series on DVD, watched the 3rd on the net and i think iv seen every youtube clip worth seeing.

And whats worse all this happens after their gig in Ireland.:( missed all the fun.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

ah, pity about that. though, im stuck on the wrong side of the world, i missed their book signing cos my mate booked me on the wrong flight and i missed the second lot of gigs in ireland cos , well distance and stuff. but i did get to see the boosh live and i am eternally grateful for that (<3 mf).

did you just happen across the boosh randomly, or did a mate intro you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39 Kitsune9tails

Its was totally random (faith lol), it was so random that i thought i'd found something new and undiscovered hehehe not a mad cult classic/comedy (can i say classic yet?!?!)

Your the other side for the world... how did you find the Boosh all the way over there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

ah, i only moved over here a year and a bit ago, id heard about boosh long before that, and got obsessed with it shortly before i moved over here.

and fate indeed, i had three different mates telling me about the boosh and id not managed to get into it until running into one of them the day he bought the first series, so he came back to mine and i watched my first 4 or 5 episodes :D

Well seems a bit quiet but I'll pop my views up!!

Never heard of the Mighty Boosh until one day about 2 years ago a friend suggested it. Bought series 1 and 2 in some shop and spent a whole saturday watching them both.....
My mother suggested that I should see a shrink when I tried telling her about the show:D
Must get my hands on series 3 now :P

Aw man I was obsessed The Mighty Boosh years ago. Completely forgot about it until someone played The Tundra Rap on one of the computers at college and I went crazy! Really must watch the newer episodes.

The forum is going away, to the land of Finished/Cancelled TV Shows.

It's been fun, but it's time for it to go! :(

So it's goodnight from me, and it's goodnight from him:

Does this still air anywhere or will I have to get the boxset?
Ive only ever seen a couple of episodes but think its great.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

Haven't heard of it being on the telly box in quite some time. Grabbing the box set might be the best bet. And well worth it! :D

Nah man, you can get them cheap enough. I got all 3 series for like 20 odd quid. Well worth getting them, they're still totally brilliant

edit: plenty of options on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_6?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=mighty+boosh&sprefix=mighty%2Caps%2C287
