Hmmm... will have to get an investigator out on this. Bribes and backhanders, and corrupt dealings. How much is Nacho paying you Supercell, (off the record):D:p

Uuugh, horrible horrible, I really expected July to be the Summer. Alas it was not to be and have slipped 5 places as a result.

//clinches fists and shakes them at the sky// shouting: Damn you July!

So here we go, without further adieu here is the results of the August Boards.ie Weather League.

In joint first place Nacho and Snowbie. Nacho had his second storming month in a row, must be something in the water out west ;)
Strasser put in another good performance and should soon start moving up the table despite his late start. Our previous table topper trogdor lies in the relegation zone, a mere flash in the pan :p

    boards_august_ranking.jpg

Now to the overall 2008 league table. Nacho is top for the second month running and is starting to make a bit of distance between himself and the rest of us but Snowbies not letting him out of his sights!! nemonoid had another good month and i'vd better start looking over my shoulder if he keeps up recent form!

Congratulations Nacho. I will be depending on you to do the west proud at the end of the year, because God knows, I certainly won't. :D

Supercell, about the "save" issues on Excel, if you go to options and then "save options", you can configure the sheet you are working on to save automatically every 5 mins, or whatever time you choose. I have been stung many times before as well, and there is nothing worse than losing all your work.

Alternatively, just press "CNTL and S", and your work will be saved from that point.

Thanks Paddy, you are the Excel master so will take that on board :)

thanks paddy1. although, i don't think i'll be in the final shake up against these smart cookies from the east come the end of the year

This month we have a new champ, all hail Nilhg!!

Nilhg finished well ahead of the pack on 54 points with Paddy being best of the west in second place with 45 points with eastern poster boy Trogdor hot on his heels with 44 points. Indeed Trogdor's return to form bodes well for the overall league credentials!
So here is the results of the September Weather league competition :-
    september_league.jpg

In the overall league one man stands clear of the rest, that man from Mayo just isnt letting go of his crown with out a fight! Nacho Libre is well ahead and looks like he's going to take some catching if he's going to be overhauled by the year end.
One man that might do it is Trogdor who had a welcome return to form this month and moved into second place.
Third and fourth place are Snowbie and myself who had a distinctly average performance this month!
The top half of the table is getting very close and i think there will be big changes there by the year end.

Here's how the overall league is looking year to date :-

Done better than i expected there, almost forgot about the September questions setting up the Irish network at the end of August.
In fact 25 points is a bonus and the pressure still on. Bring it on.

nacho will crumble under this pressure, Mayo usually do. :P

I'm sure October will see me back in my usual spot.

I didn't realise I'd missed out so many months :D

So here we are, drum roll ba dum tish!!,the moment you've all been waiting for!
Its coming to the last few months of the inaugural boards.ie weather league and despite Nacho having a poor month (by his standards) the chasing group didn't make up any ground on him at all.
Indeed the fight for second place is coming very very tight with pretty much any of the top 10 at least in serious contention.

This month we have a new monthly champion. All hail Kindredspirit! At 38 points he was well clear of the chasing pack and looks like he might be putting in a big finish!
Strasser a previous monthly champ came in second place with a creditable 32 points and Danno finished in third. Well done lads.

    october_league_08.jpg

Table topping Nacho showed he is only mortal and scored a midtable figure of 22, no doubt he'll claim he was going easy on the rest of us.
Looks like the title may be going west this year bar any real slip up :)

Blimey! That was some blip in October. :o

If you notice on the main league, I'm the strongest competitor who has entered every month - I'm holding everyone else up above me from the bottom! :D:D

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,851 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

I fear this will be another low scoring month for me. I won't be surprised if i'm pipped at the post.
I think Strasser might well have been champ' if he had been in the weather league from the beginning.
