Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a desktop that's connected to a netopia router through ethernet. I also have a laptop connected to the same network using wireless

Is there a way to turn off the ethernet connection to the router but still keep the wireless connection

I'm running very heavy downloading on the desktop but this limits my bandwidth. I need a way to turn off this ethernet connection remotely from the laptop that'll allow me to use my full bandwith.

(mods feel free to move post, not too sure where to post this inquiry)

you could use your laptop to disconnect the computer from the router.

or you could use a remote program like network monitor pro.

I'm sure you can do MAC filtering to block the PC - I amn't familier with the router though. Have you had a look around in the router's control panel?
