A lot of people here say Livigno in Italy is quite good and learner friendly. Popular with the Irish too. Dunno about lessons or anything like that.

    Ntbell,

You can rent Ski Boots\Skis at the "DeFox" Shop near Carrosella 3000 (its to the left as you walk towards it from the road)

For Skiing you would probably be better off joining the main ski school down in main village (Cant remember the name sorry)

If anyone is boarding, Madness school is the best.

Do you have any Gear at all? clothes wise?

Are you traveling on your own or with a Rep?

You don't strike me as the skiing type :)

You can get lessons anywhere. If you are jsut trying it then it would be best to get a package deal from a travel agent. As for the ski clothes, you can probably rent from a lot of the sportswear shops or great outdoors or somewhere. I'm sure somebody that has rented in Dub could suggest somewhere though.

I've been to Andorra as a beginner and Livigno the next time, and both are very beginner friendly and good social scene there too.

I'm surprised and shocked from my athletic look (a bit like yours but i've more hair ;)) that you feel I'm not the skiing type.

I'm just trying to find something different than sitting in an Irish bar in some random part of spain with 15yr old girls throwing up on my lap..enough of my holiday stories.

You need to start getting some gear asap!

Ask around and borrow what you can first, then start checking some places in town

    Check the FAQ

    Have you booked somewhere?

    I haven't booked it no.

But Livigno is looking most likely
