Yep. Lots of stuff on Archive.org

They'll be labeled Public Domain under the Creative Commons license if you can reuse the footage.

Cheers for the links I'd forgotten that site existed.

Okay thats the source sorted out, now what software do I need to chop up video and mix it while being able to mute the original soundtrack?
