Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's an independent specialist near Baldonnell aerodrome but unfortunately I don't remember his name. There's another indy saab shop in Fairview called C.D. Motors (ask for collin).

Alternatively if you have a good general mechanic you can buy all your parts online from www.partsforsaabs.com and www.elkparts.com and get your local to service it, and save a good bit of money.

Elkparts are pricey so it pays to shop around once you figured out the part number you need.

    Hi,

Bought my Saab from a Saab dealer in Monaghan, their approach to service is poor. Have also had car at a Dublin Saab dealers service department with little satisfaction.

So, I'm looking for a North Midlands (Meath, Westmeath, Longford, Cavan or Roscommon etc.) Independent Saab specialist if anyone has any good experiences to share.

    Thanks.

Colin from CD Motors has retired. Any other recommendations in greater Dublin?

I did my saab phase a couple of years ago, travelled the country to all of the 'specialists' who all claimed to be the most knowledgeable and didnt speak highly of the competitors.. Spent a fortune chasing gremlins and in the end up my local mechanic fixed it.. Lesson being that it wasn't a complex fix, it was complicated by people making decisions from experience opposed to diogenes.
