Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Microsoft keynote GDC - Gears of war 2 confirmed for nov!

    coverage as it happens. Gears of war 2 has been confirmed for november, woo hoo!!

    "You can now do lots more things on-screen. Tech demo with "over 100" Locust enemies running around a typical Gears of War environment. Calm down. Water stuff has been improved, he says. Realistic specular and environment bits or something. More realistic splashes, sound effects. It certainly looks a bit special with rolling waves, etc."

    Lots of other stuff too but so far thats the biggie

    "BLB. Clapping. Chris says if you're anything like him, you'll want to play it. You can go to Xbox Live Marketplace right now and download demos of Jellycar, Dishwasher and other community-developed games as trial versions. Go for it, kids."

    Should be decent, first game was great fun if nothing spectacular, with a bit of polish the sequel should be something special.

    I really hate teaser trailers without in game footage.

    Agreed, 1st one was great fun and multiplayer was a good laugh for a while.

    Although I haven't played it, the additions for the PC release also looked all good, adding some good elements.
    Expanding the single player experience and adding some more multiplayer maps/modes etc could make 2 a winner.

    The XNA news is really interesting and could lead to great things.

    Couldn't care less about Gears 2 tbh. Nor is it exactly much of a surprise - big selling game gets predictable sequel.

    Single player for the first game was good, very very pretty but just good. Co-op however is where this game came alive.
    If Epic can bring 4 player co-op ala halo 3 this will be my biggest game of the year
