    Have an understanding and some sentences learnt for the following:

    --> An Teaghlach The Household
    --> An Baile The Area
    --> Saol na Scoile School Life
    --> Cursai Oibre agus an Todhchlai Work and The Future
    --> Sport agus Caitheamh Aimsir Sport and Pastimes
    --> Ceol agus Siamsaiocht Music and Entertainment
    --> Taisteal agus Laethanta Saoire Travel and Holidays

    **Remember not to forget about your reading passages. You were given 15 and you must prepare 5 of these. Pick 5 of the easiest. It is worth 30 marks out of 150 marks. You will read the passage at the start. Practise your Oral with someone at home or practise with yourself in the mirror! Every Little Helps!

    ** The Oral is worth 150 marks. That is worth 20% of the overall exam, that's even before you go in and sit the written exam! It's an easy way of boosting your mark up. Try learn some stuff off and try not too memorise sections off because it is meant to be just a normal conversation between 2 people in Irish. Don't forget to smile! Even if it isn't a real one! Don't cover your mouth with your fist pretending to cough and mumbling. This doesn't help. Do your best and even if you do make a mess of things and embarrass yourself - so what - chances are you'll never see the examiner again! And, finally remember the examiner wants you to do as best you can!

    Good Luck with it!

    Don't forget. You have to be prepared to answer higher level questions because the examiner has no idea if you are doing higher level or ordinary level. We're fecked in my Irish class... she hasn't done ANY work on it!!! Whereas in French we've been working on it since the start of 5th yr!
