    If Weezer are officially uncool (??????), "Island In the Sun" is very much a cool song - one of the best songs of the 21st century I think.

    +1. People are confusing geeky/nerdy with uncool.

    Geeky/nerdy: Weezer, Talking Heads, Kraftwerk, Hot Chip, Pulp, Eels.

    Uncool: Phil Collins, Mike & The Mechanics, Cliff Richard, Sting.

    Actually, some Sting songs are great - Shape Of My Heart and The Russians are fantastic.

    'New York New York'- Frank Sinatra(my late Grandads favourite!)

    'Always'- Bon Jovi

    'Scientist'- Coldplay

    'Shake That Ass for Me'- Eminem(really good dancing song,albiet, a bit offensive towards women:D)

    And of course 'Sexyback'- Justin Timberlake


    These aren't really my list of 'cool uncool' so much as my guilty pleasures

    Rod Stewart was cool, at the start of his career. Then he started singing ballads and became uncool. He still gets leggy blondes though which is pretty cool. Damnit, this thread should come with a health warning, I get dizzy every time I read it.

    Yea Dollywood but winner of best theme park name has to go to Conway Twitty's "Twitty City" ... i;ve no idea if it's an actually theme park or if it's even still going since he died...He was uncool and "Make Believe" was a cool song.. think elvis covered it

    among the least cool artists ever are bon jovi and brian adams and without exception every time you will find the same people who like one , like the other but neither of them have ever had good songs so i guess this post is pointless

    2 unlimited - theres no limits
    scooter - mover your ass , only because it reminds me of the 1st summer i went clubbing and no i wasnt off my head
    channese - i love your smile , that was a one hit wonder so not sure it counts
    anything by fleetwood mac , very uncool band but i love most of there songs plus steevie nix is cool

    They weren't uncool really though, were they?

    Bangles were OK as well- Susanna Hoffs FTW. :)

    Also John Denver is seriously uncool, but has many great songs

    FFS, Johnny Cash was extremely uncool in the 80's and even up until he featured on Zooropa. The man's a god now. :cool:
