I am building a 358sq.ft (24.7ft x 14.5ft) garage beside my house. I got a quote of €1600 (cash) for labour from a roofer. Does this sound reasonable?

How much do you think the materials will come too?

    Seems reasonable enough alright!

Are you putting up slates or tiles? Is there any lead valleys in it?

Slates. There are no valleys its a simple one car garage.

Roof timber will cost about 2- 2.5k off the top of my head and about 800 - 1000 for the slates

Theres about a weeks work or less there for 2 lads

    Sounds OK.

    Good price.
You may need scaffolding and make sure you are covered for insurance.
