Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Getting a handbag re-strapped in Dublin

Hey all, looking for a bit of help with this one.

Bought my girlfriend a handbag there a while ago and through general wear and tear the straps have now broken off. It's a really nice bag and she loves it, so I told her not to worry and that I'd get it fixed up for her. The thing is, after a good while now lookin around, I've run out of places to try and get it repaired. Nowhere seems to re-strap bags! Any internet search engines seem to only have places I need to post off to, and the yellow pages is no use either. As for a tailors, all they can do is sow it back together but the strap has completely worn away and needs to be replaced. The straps are golden and, while I'm not looking to get an exact replacement, I was hoping to find somewhere that would have some gold(ish) coloured straps and stick 'em on the bag. Seems like a simple enough job to me, but what do I know! Anybody have any more ideas or places for me to try?

    Thanks!

P.S. before any smart arse says it... no the bag is not mine :o
