absolutely agree, a good score will usually sell a movie to me, this one didn't. The scene where

Weird, that was actually my favourite scene of the movie, precisely for the oddness. It just conjured up such an unusual, haunting atmosphere. Thought it was a triumph of audio and visual design.I think the score works really well at keeping a constantly disturbing, unusual tone going.

Gotta agree - I love Greenwood's score for this and have listened to the soundtrack numerous times. The music might appear to jar but, to me, it's that very dischord that makes it so effective - it creates that unsettling atmosphere, the tension, and indeed some of the mania of DDL's performance.

Saw "There Will Be Blood" last night. Really enjoyed it. Thought DD Lewis was magnificent in the role of Plainview. My wife though it was junk though.

Funnily enough I also really enjoyed "No Country For Old Men" and she also disliked that.

Women in general have very poor taste in films.
