Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So who's going to win? It would be good to see Spurs do it but can't see anything but a comfortable win for Chelsea.

Chelsea 11/10 to win in 90 mins, looks a good bet to me.

Can imagine spurs being the better and more entertaining team on the day but Chelsea getting the result maybe after extra-time

    Chelsea to win 1-0.

But I hold out hope that Spurs can win this :)

I hear they're sold out of Sat Navs in the Tottenham branch of Currys. Nobody knows the way to Wembley.

will this be the first game with the Drogba/Anelka partnership?

Spurs to go 1-0 up but lose 3-1 in the end.

2-1 to Spurs. I feel it in my waters.

    Hope Chelsea spank them though.

a lot of upset noises coming out of Chelsea of late. i wouldn't be surprised if it might distract from the game on sunday and Spurs might sneak it. probably being a bit optimisitc though, but Ramos is as good as any in the cups.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I really think Spurs will be up for this one big time whereas Chelsea know they have bigger fish to fry, it could tell on them esp if they get off to a poor start or go a man down.

    Mike.

the whole Frank and Terry sh*t? how they are no longer untouchable? Lampard's made a few interviews recently and it sounds like he's stirring up sh8t in the squad just to make life difficult for Grant and maybe secure his lucrative exit from the club. he's made a lot of thinly veiled criticism of Grant recently, that as far as i can tell hasn't been picked up on much.

Personally I'm taking the Metropolitan Line from Liverpool Street to Wembley Park then walking down Wembley Way to the ground.

You might remember that, may be of use to you sometime...next season at the earliest, right?

its going to be an entertaining game, thats for sure.
we all know tottenham can find the net, but on the other hand, grant has to choose between terry/alex/caravalho.
chelsea should be well capable of finding the net too, nick and drogs are real goal scorers.
im going to predict a lively game, with a lot of near misses,
    3-2 to the chelsea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,778 ✭✭✭✭Kold

3-2 to Spurs after extra time. Chelsea should be tougher than those 'Arsenal' fellows anyway.

Really hope Spurs do the biz and I think they will.

All that stands in the way is another heroic JT performance

It certainly has been picked up on but nobody cares really. As for the result, i hope spurs take it, they are a decent side with their only real problem of late being their lack of quality in defence, now that they have that I thknk they will push on, not only in this game but in the cup.

I hope spurs win now that Lampard and Terry waltz back into the starting lineup despite having done f.a. to get that far. Alex has had a blinder of a season but Terry (without match fitness) steals his position in probably the only final * Chelsea are going to get to this year

    *hopefully

WTF is going on with the tie? Is he going for the Greenday look

yea with the first drogba free kick the one that came kind of close he was standing way off his line aswell - he's an abysmal goalkeeper

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,894 ✭✭✭Nunu

Referees lately are not applying the advantage rule properly.

For Chelseas goal Drogba is fouled and the ref waved play on...Essien gets on the ball and has a shot which is blocked, then the ref pulls the play back for a free!
The only grounds for pulling the play back after waving play on is if there was no actual advantage and a Spurs player got on the ball instead of Essien.

Very Cantona like peno from Berbatov. Fully deserved goal for them.

Why cant united supporters keep away from comparing players on other teams to their own?
It was a Berbatov-like penalty because Berbatov took it. He's twice the player Cantona ever was and thats not saying much. Ballack took a similar one a few weeks ago. Doesnt mean he's Cantona like either.

Spurs really should be punishing Chelsea today. Robinson is a disaster of a keeper for them. Why didnt Cerny start? He's kept a good few clean sheets lately?

Jesus we are very touchy today! Cantona was the first player I ever saw to calmly slot a peno home regardless of the situation hence why I compared Berbatovs peno today to Cantonas style. No where did I mention wheter Cantona was better or worse than Berbatov.
