Better team won but would echo the sentiments above. 2-0 over two legs is no disgrace, they were a quality outfit. Joey Ndo was worth the admission price!

3 nill win against Bray tonight. Just a shame the results for Shamrock Rovers and Derry didn't go our way.

They did, but a loss for both would have been perfect for us. At one point Derry were 2 nill down.

Ah well, making 2 points is better than them both winning.

Great result. Real pity we didn't take 3 points against Derry at home the other week.

At least we're back in the hunt.

Saw the highlights of the Shams game on MNS as well. When we are on form the football we play is incredible at times to watch. The useless git of a presenter was having a tough time admitting we were the better side.

I wouldn't expect anything else from RTE, thats most weeks.

That presenter is a Shams fan himself. He struggles to hide his bias most weeks.

Rovers into the Cup Semi again, retaining it is now a good possibility. If I had a choice though, I'd prefer the League title.

At the start of the season we couldn't buy a result against shams, now we can't stop beating them!

    :D

7-1 against Galway last night. Shams v Drogs today. Squeaky bum time.

    :D

Wonderful result for us but I do feel for Galway's plight. Hope they stabilize the club in the first division and come back up in a few years.

Shams won, so it's GD separating us now. 4 games left for us, let's go and win them all.

Come on Hoops, we just need a little fúck up or two.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 669 ✭✭✭mongoman

Man if we come this close and then lose, I'll be totally gutted.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,370 ✭✭✭✭Son Of A Vidic

Shams win 4-0 and draw level, I am not happy.

They're all big games these days and Dundalk at home tomorrow night is another. Need a big crowd to get behind team from the start, won't be an easy game.

I'd say there'll be a great crowd tonight.

I would be as well, but it shows how far as a club we've come as a club if you consider that this time two years ago we were in a relegation dogfight.

5 nill tonight, 3 points clear, Shams do have 2 games in hand, huge goal difference over them though, and they play Bohs tomorrow night.

Gutted I couldn't make it to the match.

Pity they got the point though.

    Few tough ones coming up.
If we can keep the head up I think we can do it.

Awful having to rely on other teams to lose/draw though.

Rovers beat Bohs in the semi final to go on to their third FAI Cup Final in a row. Jason McGuiness scored the only goal to put Rovers through.

Final is in the Aviva again on November the 6th.

Now lets just hope Shams slip up and keep our hope up of a double.
