Yeah, allot of families and young'uns. Kinda expected a bit of a sing song from the Forza's with a few of the Terrace songs, but alas no, bar a short rendition of the Joey Endo song when he was welcomed on to the stage. Although not sure if my voice would have kept up following the events at Lansdowne Rd.

Oh, did you manage to make it to Dublin in the end?

Nice touch from Joey to give his medal to that lad in Ballymote. Total gent.

    Indeed.

His arrival in LOI is one of the best things to ever happen to our sleepy little league. He has lit up many a ramshackle football ground with little moments of genius down the years.

a friend of mine got it last year and there was no picture on it , it was just a blue screen and he brought it back and said it was a "blue movie" :D

The squad for next year is starting to take shape. Peers, Keane, Greene, Ventre, all signed so far. Daniel North from Pats should be a good addition. If Horgan stays that would be great, seems to have done really well with Cork and they are desperate to keep him.

Good luck Cookie. All the best with your new role.

    Had to be posted.

League kicked off last night. Lets hope new manager Ian Baraclough can build where Cookie left off.

Season started with a draw away to Shelbourne last night. Home to Glentoran in the Setanta cup on Monday night.

It was a very good result last night and a good start for the new boss. Playing away against Shels and getting the late equaliser is a nice confidence boost. I always think when a team scores pretty late like that, it gives them a never say die attitude. A big year for us and lord knows we all want the League this year.

A very good point under the circumstances but to be brutally honest I think we can forget the league. The difference in squad depth between ourselves and Shams is massive - far greater than it was last season. Personally I'd take second again this year .....actually I'd settle for third.

I'll be very interested to see what style of football Baraclough adopts once he gets his feet properly under the table. Word has it from Scunthorpe fans that he was more of a long ball man with them. I hope that's not the case with Rovers. Cook's brand of passing football was instrumental in getting in the crowds at the Showgrounds.

Anyway a good start for him ....c'mon the bit o'red!;)

2 nill to Rovers. Could have been 3 only for an amazing finger tip save from the Glentoran keeper at the very end.

Was even amazing considering he played nearly the entire match injuried.

That's a filthy thing to do. Shame on them.

It's no wonder football fans are seen as scum.
