Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know what options are there for installing fireplaces/stoves etc. with HRV?

I'm an architect and the fact that HRV generally means no open fireplaces turns a lot of people off it. I'm wondering what the options other people have come up with.

I've come across one website with various types of modern looking stove (I won't include their address for the moment in case people accuse me of spamming), which are room sealed - anyone able to provide other examples?

You could also consider a mechanical flue closer to block the flue when not in use.

    hi laminate
Have you heard of masonry stoves? I've put one in my new build with a hrv. The air supply is a separate underthe floor from outside so no air is taken from the house. They burn blocks of dried wood. Usually one fire per day. PM me for further details.

You must specify a WOOD burning stove ONLYto get the carbon credit in the DEAP software - MULTI-FUEL does not get the LZC credit.

There was a thread in soc/green issues recenlty where someone suggested a couple of suppliers, will look for it.

edit: found the thread but it doesn't have the link to the supplier http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055189247
