    Hey Guys,

Looking into getting a new PC. Let me know what you think. Also, my local shop priced this for me, if you see the parts cheaper let me know :)

Case - Antect P182SE for about €150 approx.
    Motherboard - M3A32-MVP Deluxe - €203
    Processor - AMD Phenom™ Quad-Core Processor 9500 - €203
    Graphics Card - Asus HD3850 512Mb (EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M) - €188 2x = €377 :D
    Memory - KHX6400D2LL/1G (1gig 800Mhz DDR2 DIMM) - €193
    Power supply - Phantom 500 - €130
    Sound - SBAudigy SE7.1 PCI - €50

(Now, with the sound. well that's all they had on their system so any recommendations would be great but I'm not spending a huge amount of cash on it. I just want something that will allow me to play games without any problems. Remote controls and other fancy stuff I don't really want and will more than likely never use.)

So, anyone have any thoughts? Any recommendations? Can I get better prices? Should I get something different?

    Your getting robbed :D

Below site is good, they build it for you for €19.99 and cant be beaten for prices either, many threads on them here

    http://www3.hardwareversand.de/3/home.jsp

You can get them to build something like below for under €800 delivered, which will play all the latest games perfectly...

Forget bout that one for a start, anywhere that recommends you spend 200e on an Amd motherboard is just nuts . Did you not know that Intel are miles ahead at the moment.

Also 193e for 1Gb of ram is very expensive , you can get 4Gb for less than 100e. look

Yea, I know AMD are behind Intel but I really want to crossfire 2x HD3850's and I thought crossfire was an AMD thing only atm, no?

About the motherboard. well I kind of like it, I want quiet and thats quiet. Also the specs are good. But if you can suggest another one as good but cheaper ... :)

Sqaull20, lookin at that page now

Wrong, Any Intel p35 or x38 chipset motherboard has crossfire, x38 being better as its 16X+16X as opposed to 16x+4X/8x of the p35's. Here.

AH, ok. So can anyone recommend a Motherboard, chip and RAM that will work together 100%? Will the chip is not a huge deal just the RAM I'd be worried about gettin the wrong stuff seeing as I want 4 Gig

dude you have a budget of 1300 going by what you've posted here. you will be able to build a much better pc for that price than what you've picked there. Do you have a Monitor already?

stick with intel processors and intel chipset if you heart is set on cross fire.
To be honest as far as i know the money is better spent on one good card rather than two at half the price. Dual card setups do not scale well and dont work in all games. if your droppin that much on your gfx i'm pretty sure there are gtxs out there for that money.
if ati is a must for you then i dunno someone else tell me whats good from ati.

My budget is €1000 lol Thats half the problem with the other quote :D

I have a PC already so mouse, Keyboard, Monitor and all that Jazz is fine.

This is from www.hardwareversand.de (Thanks Squall20) But I need to still keep looking. I'm thinking to get Intel now. I was not aware that Crossfire was in Intel Chips. For some reason I thought it was AMD only atm

This is a Much better pc..

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 boxed, 12MB, LGA775, 64bit
    ready for dispatch from 2008-03-15 279,00 €

    Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 ,Intel P35, ATX, PCI-Express 81,08 €

    (aahh you want 4, just double this) 2048MB DDR2 Corsair TwinX XMS2 CL 5, PC6400/800 41,72 €

Antec Nine Hundred, ATX, ohne Netzteil 90,58 €

    ATX-Netzteil Corsair VX450W 450 Watt 56,13 €

    MSI NX8800GTS-T2D512E-OC, NVIDIA 8800GTS, 512MB, PCI-Express 273,00 €

    Samsung HD501LJ 500GB 7200,16 MB Cache 78,49 €

That just comes to 900 euro from hardwareversand.de

You would have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for the quad chip, but would be worth it, a 2.66 quad core 45nm would be lightning fast. That GTS will run all games on max no problem and won't give you any crossfire problems. You could also buy an SLI 2x8800 GT + super fast core2duo rig for less than 1000 as well for even faster gaming performance.

You are getting the 9600gt in sli, nice, you may want to run a bigger power supply..

450 is too low.. the guys here will recommend one

The samsung 500 gb hdd is generally seen as better than the WD one.

No, he's getting 2 cards. +1 on the bigger power supply though, just in case! Otherwise it looks rather good!
