Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

See this link, I have 25,700 shares in Alltracel.

    http://www.biotechnologyireland.com/pooled/articles/BF_NEWSART/view.asp?Q=BF_NEWSART_299454

Should I hold onto the shares, will they be automatically sold for me/what is the exact procedure?

I'm in ca. 10% profit since Jan 2006, and if I sold now I might get ca. 7% or so profit, given the liquidity involved.

    Any thoughts appreciated...

although i havent seen the profit, or a chart, which is what id base some decision making on, id say the price has probably leapt higher in the last few days on this news?? if it has id say flog most of them. exact procedure on companies sold im not sure on, but perhaps if you can still sell them a dividing strategy might be in order, say take half your profit in cash and keep half the profit in shares if you know what i mean.

The company has been purchased in cash only, I don't think the new company is public, so I take it I will eventually just be offered cash for the shares?
    Correct?

its likely the shares will be suspended from trading until the acquisition is complete. If this is the case you will receive the cash rate offered by the acquiror and accepted by shareholder majority. You wont have an option if shareholders have voted their approval on the offer.

Thanks for that eggie. I did some sums today, I think the offer is higher than the current share price, so I think I'll stay put for the time being. This was my first venture into investing, I've certainly learnt a lot and its something that has instilled a great interest in the subject for me

Hawk the lot. The technicals don't look that hot, and the recent bump has helped the price.

Liquidity should not be a problem, split into two separate amounts on succeeding days.

    but check this out

    http://alltracel.com/article.html?&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=209&tx_ttnews[backPid]=6&cHash=370586b378

14p / share for each one. So should I not hang on for this? Conversly, if I should, would it not be essentially printing money if you can get 'em for 13p each now??

It looks like the acquisition hasn't been finalised as yet. The reason the trading price is lower than the acquisiton price is to price in the risk that the parties do not go through with the acquisition, for various reasons.

If 13p a share is considerable profit and it is still trading at this price, then take it while you can. If you have knowledge from within the company that its a guaranteed ac then hold off.
