VRT in Ireland from July

Im very confused with this new VRT thing coming into Ireland. I was looking at a mini Diesel 1.4 in the North and was wondering if I waited until after July would my VRT be cheaper?? Also what about my tax?? Would it be cheaper to get one now or later??:confused::confused::confused:
