I'm setting up a business which will have no "bricks and mortar" presence but I'd like the (perceived) legitimacy of an "01" landline number. All I really need on that line is either a voicemail saying "Please leave a msg for zzz at xxx Ltd" OR that it forwards to my mobile phone.

Been digging on other threads and wading thru Eircom/BT etc... sites and cant find a cheap way of getting this done.

This has GOT to be easy...Any ideas ?

    think Mailboxes etc do that?

there is the general idea of a "virtual office" that searching for, might give you more info.

I think skypein now allows you to get an Irish number:

connectit.ie did what we needed for Swords Express. We also got silvertung to do the voice announcements, and it makes a big difference. Try calling 01 529 2277 for a listen.

ive been using blueface for past 6 months. They charge 9.99 a month for the virtual number. Its a grand service as its half the price of standard line rental and if you move premises, you can take the number anywhere.

    Check them out http://www.blueface.ie

+1 have also been using them for business purposes....

They also offer a virtual Fax service too, where your faxes are emailed to you as a PDF file... also you can send faxes by just sending the PDF file via email to your fax account...

    Thanks to all.

Went with www.blueface.ie as I also needed a virtual fax number. Just what I needed. I took out the annual contract so 150 euros for an 01 phone number with voicemail (that mails a .wav to your email account - nice :-) + 01 fax number). A test fax failed but there might be a delay in switching this on.

I also have 300 UK+Ireland landline minutes a month for that.

It seemed like skypein would have worked also and would have been cheaper for the voice-only option.
