I see they're doing the same sneaky thing so, cameras at the very edge of the 50kmph speed limit!

Wouldn't it have been easier to place the camera inside the car behind the tinted glass? Having it in the door looks like a stupid idea.

It does look stupid and also the general public can obstruct it.

They don't give a dam about your safety.

I'm suprised our very own "An Garda Siochana" haven't adopted such a Stealth form of speed tramps. maybe they don't have the budget, as it's cheaper to just park behind a hedge or around a bend!!

The Dutch police have them installed in wheelie bins.

The Dutch Police have cameras for traffic lights, yellow boxes, you name it, so a Dutch person told me recently.

Usually there's a traffic cop nearby monitoring it. There is a bloke over there who travels around locating the speed traps and put's up signs either side of them to warn people. He really p!sses the traffic cops off, but there is nothing they can do about him.

Jeremy Clarkson interviewed him a few years back:

You'd get done for obstructing a Garda in the course of their duty over here for that.

But what would happen with the private speed cameras when they come out? As the Gardai won't be operating them:D

I guess this design is more suited to city streets. A camera in the back window with tinted glass would need a large angel behind to be set up properly. A car parks behind it and the camera would be useless.

I like the way you think. Give that man a cigar. :D
