Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

lost windows recovery CD for my DELL laptop

    Hi Ive lost the recovery cd for my dell inspiron 1100. I want to do a rebuild as my laptop has gone very slow lately. I have noticed a sticker on the bottom of the laptop with the Windows XP Home edition product key. I am just wondering if I get a copy of winows xp home edition install cd and use the product key on the sticker will it work.

    Any responses welcome.

    Yes Ive done this several times!!When you start your Laptop boot from the Windows cd and you wont even be asked for the product key!!

    The disc from dell isnt unique!!The product key is if you do end up having to enter it!!

    Contact dell and they will mail you a new recovery disc - its just good to have.
