My mate was looking at the computer coming up in Lidl which I taught was in fact a ridiculously expensive price... After browsing hardwareversand.de and ebay I worked it out at around €600 instead of their €800!!!

His main uses are gaming (mostly FM2008) and internet.

So now Im doing him a favour and building it:

    AMD Athlon64 X2 5200+ AM2"tray"
    Arctic Alpine64 Socket 754/939/AM2
    Compucase 6K11BS sch/silb. 350W
    Club3D HD2600Pro, 512MB, ATI Radeon 2600Pro, PCI-Express
    ASUS M2A-VM/HDMI, Sockel AM2, AMD 690G+SB600, mATX
    2048MB DDR2 Aeneon PC5400 CL 5, PC5400/667
    Samsung HD501LJ 500GB 7200,16 MB Cache
    Samsung SH-S203D bulk schwarz
    Toshiba SD-H802A schwarz bulk
    350w PSU
    power cable
    wireless kit
    Hauppauge Nova T 500
    15 in 1
    WLAN USB adapter
    Bluetooth USB Adapter
    OEM Home Premium

Here is my version of Lidl's spec. Mine is slightly superior.

I was thinking of converting it to an Intel..
    but is a E2180 (€65 w/ HSF) or a E4500( €97 w/ HSF) better than a 5200+ (€81 w/ Alpine) in comparison which are similar in price?

Also I wanted to convert him to Blu-ray but the Toshiba HD-DVD player is only €70 while the Pioneer Blu-Ray Player is €120. Is it worth the €50?

Since it is only a light hearted gaming machine, which would he prefer?
    2600PRO 512MB @ €57 or an 8500GT 512MB @ €56 or a 3650 512MB @ €59

What motherboards support Intel and HDMI around €55?

Whats the minimum/reccomended wattage needed to power this rig?

The CPU is 89 watts, the video card is 50 watts. You'd get away with 350W I suspect, but personally I'd go for a bit more head room.

I've had to change that case to a "Jet Delta mit 400W-Netzteil" for the extra 5.25" drives anyway...

I would say below would do the job, you shouldnt skimp on the psu, its the most important part of the pc, I learnt that the hard way with dabs value :D

No point spending big on cpu when you can overclock a 2160 to 2.5ghz plus easy....

Maybe get this card if he's only playing fm
