Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I didn't realise that in order to secure exclusitivity that the operator has to agree to give Apple a percentage of the revenues generated by iPhone users. It is ironic that Apple is resisting similar enough deals with Universal with relation to the ITunes service and the iPod. Afaik, MS give a percentage of the Zune's selling price to the record companies.

the more i see the whole UI/multitouch functionality in reviews the more impressed i am by it.
the ease with which you can navigate by scrolling and zooming is amazing.

Apparently, its not just that. AT&T also had to change a lot of their background infrastructure to accommodate what Apple had planned for the iPhone, like the visual voicemail feature, and the sudden massive (exponential rather than incremental) increase in EDGE speeds the night before the launch.

I can't see O2 doing anything similar (hell, they can't invest in a proper website!), and expect the Euro iPhone to be somewhat crippled as a result.

i wouldn't agree with that at all, phones have never gotten launched at the same time in the UK and Ireland up until on O2 or on Voda, not sure why that would change now.

They are making separate deals with different carriers across Europe, what O2 does in Ireland I don't think will affect what happens in Germany, France etc

Here's 2 different knock-offs (the first as seen in an earlier video) on EBay:

    tPhone 1
    tPhone 2

Anyone willing to buy one? :D

Nope. These knock-offs look really lame. Guess if you're into fake Rolex watches, only that this is such a poor copy you'd notice it isn't the real thing immediately...

Looks like its T-Mobile for Germany (possibly also the rest of the European operations) alright, after the phone made a brief appearance on their website.
